Group homes can benefit neighbors, to a point

Clarence Hilberry Professor of Urban Affairs at Wayne State , Galster, writes with Wayne State Emeritus Professor of Economics, James Hamilton that "not in my backyard" has collided with "rights of the disabled" in Detroit . The obvious solution is to limit - but not prohibit - the number of supportive housing facilities in single-family neighborhoods. Meanwhile the courts have trouble coming to this conclusion.
